Cherries: Frequently Asked Questions

cherry orchardCan we purchase cherry trees from you?

We grow cherries, but we buy our nursery trees pre-established at about 2 years old...to help out, here are some websites you can contact:

http://www.nwcherries.com/ - our state's cherry commission site

Here are a few nursery's located here in the northwest that will know more about cherries:

I have a recipe that calls for 10 pounds of tart, unsweetened, pitted cherries - preferably frozen. Is there anything that you can do for me?

We do not grow that type of cherry, but some folks who live not to far from here do. I believe they actually sell the cherries frozen in a number of sizes from their farm. You can call Bart and Susan at #509.269.4281 and someone at their place should be able to help you.

Do you currently have cherries in stock?

The only time we will have cherries in stock will be during the harvest season--from about June 10th through July 10th--fresh Bings and Rainiers.

We would like 10 pounds of Mt. Rainier cherries. Could you provide the method and cost?

Unfortunately, I am unable to ship your request as we have finished our Cherry harvest. Usually Bing cherries start coming off near the end of June and Rainiers the first of July.

Cherry season generally lasts us about 2 weeks (start to finish) so early ordering is a good idea. We can ship Fed Ex or UPS 2nd Day Air, but nearly everything went out Fed Ex or UPS Overnight this year (usually the faster cherries are shipped, the better shape they will be in when they arrive). Gift shipments are not a problem and if you'd like to have fruit sent, we provide quotes ahead of time. Simply email or call the first of June next season.
